Recent progress

We have enjoyed so much the daily walks and trips to the house. Sometimes it's the 6 of us together. Sometimes we walk with the Spiveys, sometimes it's just me and one or two of the girls. But it's always full of fun conversation, sometimes some dribbling drills, always me yelling "car!" multiple times. It's been a time I'll always remember fondly. Our rental house is one mile from driveway to driveway and it's always fun to see what the house looks like. Sometimes a lot has been done and we walk around, looking at every detail. Sometimes, a lot has been done, but we have no idea what we are looking at (plumbing, electrical, etc). We often text the builder with questions that make sense to us, but are probably super annoying to him. Thankfully, he's always patient to explain to us what we are looking at.

How fitting.

Marital opportunity for growth

June 28, 2020 In an effort to keep it real, I'd like to introduce you to the only argument Jason and I have had over this whole ordeal. When we entered in to the building phase, many people warned me that it would be a strain on our marriage and it really hasn't been. Probably because Jason hasn't had many opinions. ha! He's pretty much said "I trust you" over and over, so I do what I want. Well, we went to discuss how the back porch would be poured and he and the project manager thought a rounded patio would be nice. I said I preferred clean lines (always right angles, not curved). I prefer clean lines for multiple reasons, but one is that furniture placement is difficult in circles and I just think more can be done with a square than circle. Jason thought the round patio looked more custom (he's probably right on that).  I didn't have a big opinion on it (at least I didn't think I did) so they marked it and we went on. *To be fair, it was a bi...
